Youth Protection Training

Pack 2228, along with the entire Boy Scout organization, takes Youth Protection very seriously. We know that you love your son and would never want anything bad to happen to him. Neither do we. In an effort to ensure the safety of all scouts in our pack, as well as any other scouts and children that may participate with us in activities, Pack 2228 has adopted the following policy:

In order to protect our Cub Scouts, their siblings, and all other children in our community, Cub Scout Pack 2228 requires all adults involved in our pack take Youth Protection Training and provide a copy of their certificate to their son's den leader. This applies to all leaders, parents, and volunteers involved in Pack 2228.

Youth Protection Training is online training that takes about 30 minutes to complete. In this training, you will learn about the Youth Protection policies of BSA, how to spot abuse, and how to handle and report violations of Youth Protection. There is no cost to take Youth Protection Training, and it can be taken by anyone, whether or not you are a registered adult.

Click here for more information about BSA Youth Protection policies and Scouting's Barriers to Abuse.

To take Youth Protection Training:

  2. On the main page, click the Youth Protection Training box in the upper-right corner.
  3. When you complete the course, print the Certificate of Completion and turn it in to a den or pack leader.
